Intro: This is our
interview with Mary Jo Pehl. Although best known to
Misties everywhere as Pearl Forrester, her time on the
show actually goes back much further, to the beginning
of Season
Four of the Joel Era when she was hired as one of the
writers of the show. She continued to serve as a
writer for the rest of the show’s run and showed up as
many guests in Deep 13 and the SOL Hexfield. Then,
after the departure of Frank, she permanently joined the
show onscreen as Dr. Forrester’s mother Pearl. And when
Trace Beaulieu departed after Season Seven, she
then became the head Mad character. I believe Mary
Jo Pehl was a great performer for the show, as well as
an excellent writer for the show. So here’s our interview with Mary Jo Pehl!
