504 - SECRET AGENT SUPER DRAGON
Genre: ’60s Spy (1966, Color)
Synopsis: The great super-spy, Secret Agent Super Dragon
(I’ll call him
SASD for short) is called out of pool-side retirement to investigate a secret organization that apparently
is smuggling a new type of chewing gum. Next, a lot of confusing
stuff happens but SASD still manages to at least look good throughout all of it.
The bad guys capture him at one point and nail into a casket, but he outsmarts them by going into a
death-like meditative state
(huhhh?) and inflating a raft when they throw the casket into the ocean. SASD eventually
infiltrates the bad guy’s secret meeting by changing his black masquerade mask for a white one and overhearing their nefarious
plans ...or something. It all ends when he fights with the bad guys and somehow wins.
Don’s Review: It’s a somewhat confusing
spy movie in this episode, but still fun to watch. Good riff and some pretty good host segments make for a good overall episode.
I especially like the “James Bond”
rip-off secret agent flicks seen on MST, so I liked this one a lot
for primarily that very reason.
